AlphaPDF is an application used to read, scan and manage PDF files. A significant part of the processing is carried out locally on your device.

Data and content that may be processed locally on your device include:

• PDF files: opening, reading, display, sharing and printing from your device.
• Scanned images: temporarily stored in the app cache or in the location selected by the user.
• OCR text: processed locally on the device when this feature is available.
• App preferences: theme, settings, temporary Pro status and user choices.
• Advertising consent choices: stored locally and/or managed through the Google tools used for consent management.

3. Advertising and Consent

AlphaPDF may display advertisements through Google AdMob. The display of personalized or non-personalized ads depends in particular on your region, your device and your consent choices.

3.1 Consent Management

For users located in regions where applicable regulations require it, AlphaPDF uses Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to collect, manage or update consent choices related to advertising.

When required, the application may:

• display a consent form at startup,
• offer privacy options to review or update choices,
• adapt advertising behavior according to the user’s consent choices.

3.2 Google AdMob

Advertisements are provided by Google AdMob. In that context, Google and its partners may process certain data in accordance with their own policies and the user’s consent choices.

This may include, depending on the situation:

• technical information about the device and application,
• advertising identifiers,
• information related to ad delivery, fraud prevention and performance measurement,
• information necessary for measurement, personalization or limitation of ads, depending on consent choices.

3.3 Rewarded Advertising

AlphaPDF may offer a rewarded advertising system. When a user watches an eligible ad until completion, the application may unlock temporary access to certain features or a temporary ad-free or Pro mode, according to the rules displayed in the app at that time.

AlphaPDF may offer paid features or Pro access through the relevant platform, including Google Play where applicable.

In this context, the application may process information related to:

• purchase status (active, inactive, restored),
• technical validation required to verify the purchase,
• local activation of rights associated with Pro features.

AlphaPDF does not directly collect your bank card details. Payments are handled by the relevant distribution platform.

• Google Play for in-app purchase handling,
• certain Google components used on-device for local processing or compatibility when applicable.

The retention period depends on the type of data involved:

• Local files and scans: until deleted by the user, overwritten or removed with the application.
• Local preferences: until reset, manual deletion or app uninstallation.
• Advertising consent choices: according to local storage mechanisms and/or the consent tools provided by Google.
• Pro-related information: according to purchase status, restoration rules and the technical needs of the application.
